Former strip club Gobel's in Shepherdsville, KY demolished

"It took less than an hour yesterday for Bullitt County employees to raze the former home of Gobel's Exotic Entertainment in Shepherdsville.

Workers from the road department began demolishing the building at about 10 am, bringing down the purple-trimmed walls and green roof.

The building, once home to a chain restaurant, had been a strip club for more than a decade and was considered an eyesore by many local residents. Bullitt Fiscal Court voted last week to demolish the vacant building. The county bought it in February for $1 million from owner Gobel Newsome."
