Memphis Strip Clubs Shut Down

Memphis Swingers    Find Bondage Partners in Memphis

Federal charges are expected Monday, December 11, 2006 against the owners of two popular Mid-South strip clubs, accused of providing much more than lap dances. The doors at Platinum Plus on Mt. Moriah and the Tunica Caberet on South Third Street were closed early Saturday morning. Investigators haven't released the official charges, but they have hinted the bars were covers for everything from drug dealing to money laundering.

More than 75 people were arrested in the raids. Police had been investigating both clubs for almost two years.

Charges will be handed down at 10am Monday.
