Another Stripper Shoe Injury
Another man has filed a lawsuit against the owner of a strip club after being injured by a dancer's shoe at the premises.
Charles Privette, 35, was visiting the Booby Trap club in Pompano Beach, Florida, when a performer's shoe flew off and smashed a mirrored ceiling, causing both the shoe and glass to hit him.
Privette is now seeking $15,000 in damages with the suit, which claims that the employee "failed to perform her routine in a reasonably safe manner".
The man's attorney added that he had suffered a small cut to his eyebrow, headaches and nose bleeds since making the ill-fated strip club visit in January.
Booby Trap's manager George Gettinger confirmed that paramedics had been called following the incident, but insisted that Privette's injuries had been minor.
He said: "A quote from the paramedics was, 'I can't believe you even called us for this'."

Nursing Home Residents Head to the Strip Club
Newquay - UK
Residents of a nursing home in Cornwall, United Kingdom, took a trip to Diva's Lap Dance Club in Newquay. The men who are stricken with Huntington's disease, enjoyed a night out with some level of freedom.
I personally love this story and would be happy to end up in a place like this, as a lonely elderly man.

Owen Wilson at Rick's in Philly
Unlike last time Owen Wilson hasn't turned suicidal after his split with Kate Hudson – instead the actor has tried to come out of it by immersing himself in blondes, boobs and beer. The off and on couple broke up last year in August and got back together after Wilson tried to commit suicide. And now the recent split has taken Wilson straight to a Philadelphia strip club where he was spotted partying with a topless Hudson look-alike on May 15.
"He spent 4½ hours at Rick's Cabaret and was in an upbeat mood. He watched the Flyers game, drank beer, and when a parade of 75 half-naked girls caught his eye, he asked for dances from several and definitely had a preference for blondes. He tipped at least one with a $100 bill," the New York Post quoted a source, as saying.

Missing Reverend Found at KC Lounge near Dayton, OH
Police say a pastor who was reported missing from his home in western New York has been found at the KC Lounge, an Ohio strip club.
A police officer patrolling the K.C. Lounge parking lot Friday morning in the Dayton suburb of Riverside spotted out-of-state license plates on 46-year-old Craig Rhodenizer's car.
The FBI and New York authorities had been searching for Rhodenizer, who disappeared Wednesday after telling his wife he was getting his computer fixed at Best Buy. He is the pastor of a church in Lyndonville, N.Y.
He had apparently been drinking for a few hours, receiving private dances and offering to pay dancers to come back to his hotel room.

Stripper Heels + Lap Dance = Eye Injury
This sizzling lap dance was all fun and games until someone nearly lost an eye.
A Manhattan man is suing a members-only strip club after, he says, a dancer poked him in the eye with the heel of her shoe during a no-holds-barred lap dance.
In a suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Stephen Chang said he "sustained serious personal injuries" during a bump-and-grind gone bad at the Hot Lap Dance Club in November.
"During the course of said lap dance, the employee suddenly swung around, striking [Chang] in the eye with the heel of her shoe," the suit says.
A manager at the Hot Lap Dance Club said he never heard about the lap dance that went from pleasurable to painful in one of the club's private rooms.
"We didn't have any reported accidents," said the manager, who identified himself as Lou. "We have a first-aid kit, and we would have treated the guy or called an ambulance."
The W. 38th St. club - which has a $50 cover charge and a $10 one-time membership fee - offers its well-heeled members topless and all-nude lap dances from a collection of hand-picked beauties.
"The dancers are not only exceptionally attractive with killer bodies, but they also have good personalities, are friendly and sensual, and are intelligent and can carry on a conversation," the club boasts on its Web site. A lawyer for Chang did not return calls.

Pink Pony South patrons being harassed
The owners of Forest Park's newest strip club say their patrons are being unlawfully harassed by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.
On Monday, the owners of Pink Pony South said they are drafting a federal lawsuit against Sheriff Victor Hill.
The sheriff's office set up a road check on Frontage Road on Friday night — two days after the adult entertainment complex opened.
"They set up police blockades and searched our customers," said Aubrey T. Villines Jr., the club's attorney.
Villines said he complained to the Sheriff's Office, but got no response.
The deputies returned again Saturday. This time, they told Pink Pony management it was a random road check designed to catch drunk drivers, Villines said.
Villines argues the sheriff's department was targeting the club, since the patrols were set up on Frontage Road — a remote access road home to only a few industrial businesses and the club.
"You can't just put up a roadblock to drive someone out of business," he said. "It is not merely coincidence that they put a road check in during the same week an adult entertainment place opened. This is an area they don't even [routinely] patrol. This is not happenstance."

Vegan Strip Club?
You won’t find any meat at a new spot in Portland, but you will find a whole lot of flesh.
Casa Diablo claims to be the world’s first vegan strip club -- there's no meat, eggs or dairy on the menu.
The club reflects the ideals of its owner, Johnny Diablo.
“My very sole purpose in life is to save as many creatures from pain and suffering as possible,” Diablo said.
Diablo, a vegan for more than 20 years, insists his club isn’t a publicity stunt.
He hopes to expose people to the vegan way and change the way they think.
While it may not be the most orthodox way to win over new vegans, Diablo hopes people bring some green and eat some green at his new club.
“(It’s) vixens, not veal, and sizzle, not steak,” Diablo said. “We put the meat on the pole, not on the plate.”
In addition to laying claim to the world's first vegan strip club, Diablo also said his club offers another first in Portland -- the first non-smoking strip club in the city.

Strip Club Tax to Help Seniors
"Those who spring for a lap dance or personal escort in Florida could inadvertently be helping the elderly, if an up-and-coming bill is passed into law, the Gainesville Sun reported Tuesday.
The proposed law, House Bill 751, would create a sales tax on “adult entertainment services” that would be fed to low-income nursing homes, the Sun reported. These funds would defray the cost of some services for senior citizens, including haircuts and trips to the movies."

Pacman + strip club = Titan in trouble again
A woman is seeking an arrest warrant against suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, claiming he punched her at an Atlanta strip club.
Fulton County Magistrate Court officials said Tuesday that Wanda S. Jackson asked for the warrant after a Jan. 3 altercation at Body Tap Exclusive in Atlanta. Jackson, an attorney, says in her filing that she was in the club's office when an angry Jones accused managers of stealing his money and bracelet.
"I was sitting in the office and he lunged at me numerous times in an effort to do grave bodily harm," Jackson wrote in the warrant application filed Jan. 7. "Veronica Jones, an owner, went into the hall to deal with a member of his entourage. I followed to gawk. He was in the hall, surprisingly reached over or around a security guard and sucker punched me in my left eye."
Jackson told police the next day she was at the club because she was handling a divorce case that involved Adam Jones. No one could be reached Tuesday afternoon at the club's listed phone number.
Jackson did not immediately return a message requesting comment. Jones' attorney, Manny Arora, said no warrant has been issued against his client. The NFL plans to review Jones' status following the Pro Bowl. He had been suspended for 2007.

Stripper Comped for Pole Injury
A court has upheld a worker's compensation award for an exotic dancer who was injured while performing on a pole at a strip club.
The Indiana Court of Appeals on Tuesday not only ruled in favor of Angela Hobson, it ordered the state Worker's Compensation Board to review the case to determine if she was entitled to double compensation.
Court records said Hobson suffered neck pain and numbness after injuring herself while dancing on a pole at the Shangri-La West club in Fort Wayne on Dec. 20, 2001, and later underwent surgery for a herniated disc in her cervical spine.
Hobson said she reported her injury to her employers, but they later denied knowledge of the injury. She filed a worker's compensation claim in 2003.
The state worker's compensation board in 2006 awarded her temporary total disability benefits and other compensation totaling more than $10,000 and found that Shangri-La did not have a worker's compensation policy and was not approved as a self-insurer.
Shangri-La appealed, arguing that the board erred when it found Hobson more credible than its witnesses. But the court declined to reweigh the evidence and upheld the original award, adding a 5 percent increase due to the passage of time.
The court also instructed the board to determine whether Hobson was entitled to double compensation due in part to the allegation that Shangri-La violated Indiana law by not having worker's compensation insurance.
Dino Zurzolo, who owned the club at the time, said the lack of worker's compensation insurance at the time was a temporary oversight due to a missed payment.
The Associated Press left a phone message Tuesday seeking comment from attorney Samuel Bolinger, who represents Wholesalers Inc., the company that does business as Shangri-La.

Lap Dances and Golf
Strippers on a golf course were topless, but neighbors weren't helpless. They caught it all on tape.
"You could easily see it from the road with the naked eye," said Dave Gold.
Half naked women were captured on video from the road next to Cherry Valley Golf Course in Stroud Township.
CR Fannys in Wilson, PA was holding a private golf outing at Cherry Valley, with some proceeds benefiting disabled veterans. The strip club owner said they've been doing it for years and there's nothing wrong with it.

Owen Wilson rides bike to Scores West
"Since his recent split with now ex-girlfriend Kate Hudson, Owen Wilson has apparently chosen to revert back to the life of a bachelor.
‘The Wedding Crashers’ actor was just recently spotted pedaling his bicycle up to Scores West Side to enjoy a little topless dancing. That’s right… he pulled up to a strip club on a mountain bike, helmet and all.
The report from the NY Post goes on to say, “Wilson parked his two-wheeler at the mammary mecca’s check room and then sat down to enjoy the topless talent.”
After watching the ladies’ pole dancing routines for awhile, Owen decided to go get some buddies from a nearby bar to join in on the stripperrific festivities.
“After a few hours, he said he was meeting friends at another club to bring back to Scores and could he leave the bike. They said, ‘No problem,’ “ Page Six’s source added.
Whether the whole bike routine was an eco-friendly move or an attempt to avoid a DUI is unknown… with Owen yet to comment on his recent guy’s night out."

Young Jeezy Arrested at ATL Strip Club
An argument at a suburban Atlanta strip club netted a disorderly conduct charge for rapper Young Jeezy and some friends, authorities said.
The rapper, whose given name is Jay Jenkins, was arrested after the incident at Strokers Club in Clarkston, said DeKalb County police spokesman Michael Payne.
It happened Thursday around 3 a.m., Payne said.
"Evidently there was some type of altercation in the club, someone didn't want to leave," Payne said. "It turns out one of the people in the group was Jay Jenkins or Young Jeezy. Evidently he was there with his sister and some friends."
Payne said off-duty police officers from the nearby community of Pine Lake were handling security at the club, and called for backup from the county police.
He said Jenkins and two male friends were booked on disorderly conduct charges at the DeKalb jail and quickly released. He said Jenkins' sister was given a citation for disorderly conduct but was not booked at the jail.
"There was no physical confrontation. It was all verbal and basically being belligerent," Payne said.
Dekalb County authorities could not immediately provide the status of the charges.
A spokesman for Young Jeezy's distribution company, Corporate Thugz Entertainment, did not immediately return a call asking for comment. The rapper got his start in Macon and Atlanta.

"Firefighters from Rural/Metro Fire Department, Scottsdale and Tempe are still mopping up hot spots at the former Fantasy Island club, just east of Curry Street and Scottsdale Road, said District Chief Michael Long of Rural/Metro.
Long said two people were still inside the club cleaning up after it closed at 4:15 a.m. when they discovered the fire. The cleanup crew members grabbed some portable fire extinguishers and tried to put out the fire from outside the building, but were unable to do so.
Firefighters received a 911 call shortly after 5:30 a.m. and found smoke visible inside and outside the building. Firefighters quickly assumed a defensive posture, with the cause of the fire difficult to reach because the building had been expanded several times and had attics and empty spaces, Long said.
Long declared the 9,000-square-foot building a total loss, but said no dollar amount had been determined. Rural/Metro, the Maricopa County Arson Task Force and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office all are investigating because of the high dollar loss and the size of the building, he said."

Crazy Horse Too liquor license deadline
The Las Vegas City Council is again considering the fate of a well-known strip club just off the Las Vegas Strip.
A temporary liquor license the council granted to Crazy Horse Too manager Michael Signoreli expires tomorrow (Wednesday). Not having a liquor license would hurt the business. But the city has already granted two temporary licenses -- and can't grant any more.
Signoreli took over after long-time owner Rick Rizzolo was convicted of tax evasion and sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison. Rizzolo agreed to sell his interest in the club. 16 other current and former Crazy Horse Too employees also pleaded to reduced charges and were sentenced to end a decade-long federal probe of whether the club was tied to the mob.

Albuquerque's SunVan bus - Next Stop Knockouts
Mayor irritated at use of taxpayer dollars.
On March 2, ABQ Ride's SunVan paratransit service gave 671 door-to-door rides to people who - because of some disability - weren't able to use the regular fixed-route bus service.
Assuming the usual pattern prevailed that day, most of those riders were looking to get to work or medical appointments. The rest used the service, which is mandated under the Americans with Disabilities Act, to get to places like restaurants, shops, movie theaters and churches.
And three of those rides, according to ABQ Ride Director Greg Payne, went to Knockouts, a Downtown strip club.
Taxpayer dollars doled out so someone could go to a strip club?
Something's wrong with that, say Payne and Mayor Martin Chavez. But their ideas for changing the "problem," as they see it, are angering some in the disabled community and might be in violation of federal civil rights law.
Ideally, Payne said, SunVan would be allowed to prioritize, so someone going to work or a medical appointment would have priority over someone going to the mall or a strip club.

City Ordinance May Change the Rules at Michelle's Beach House
Derby, KS
The city told her it was OK to open the strip club, now they're saying only if you follow the new rules.Customers can not touch and dancers can't bare too much. Those are some of the laws listed in a new Derby ordinance pertaining to adult entertainment.
Michelle Borin, the owner of Michelle's Beach House says the new ordinance should not apply to her club.
She says the city of Derby allowed her to move her strip club closer to town and allowed her to open for business.
Less than a month later, she says the city changed the ordinance.
Borin says this is how she's run her business for the last ten years.
Borin says, "I should be grand-fathered in and with this new ordinance. If anyone wants to come to the city of Derby, that should apply to them."
Derby City Manager, Kathy Sexton, says when the city creates or changes its ordinance, they pertain to everyone.
Borin has already taken her case to court.
On Friday, a Sedgwick County judge issued a temporary restraining order, allowing dancers to abide by the old ordinance for two weeks.

Great story about Tom Katz in Flora Vista, NM
A 37-year-old Aztec man was arrested March 4 after refusing to pay for lap dances at a local strip club, and then drunkenly driving his van three feet into the Flora Vista business.
At around 1 a.m. March 4, deputies were called to the Flora Vista strip club after employees reported that someone had driven into the side of building with a van, Truby said. Deputies were provided a description of the van and a possible license plate number, and arrested Charley before arriving at Tom Katz.
When deputies later arrived at the club, they learned Charley had been there and was receiving lap dances from some of the female dancers. When Charley refused to pay for some of the dances, bouncers began to escort him out of the building.
Charley "became belligerent and attempted to hit one of the bouncers," Truby said. Once outside the building, Charley paid for his dances and got into his van to leave.
The bouncers went back into the building when they heard a loud crash.
"Witnesses heard a loud noise, looked over and the doors were almost pushed open and there was a lot of light coming through," Truby said. "That's when (Charley) backed up his van and started driving at the building again."
One bouncer was forced to jump inside an office near the front doors when Charley rammed the entrance. The van eventually came to a stop nearly three feet inside the strip club.
Charley then backed out of the club and drove toward Aztec.
Truby said the incident was a rare occurrence, noting the damage to the building was estimated to be $1,000.

New strip club on 8 Mile?
On the heels of a city battle over a new Larry Flynt Hustler Club in downtown Detroit, another skirmish is brewing over a topless bar being proposed on 8 Mile on the site of a former go-kart track.
Community advocates working to revitalize the corridor are calling for a moratorium on such businesses, arguing the city already has 33 such bars, nine of which are located on the famed boundary between the city and suburbs.
...
Fisher, executive director of the Detroit Community Initiative, a nonprofit that works in northeast Detroit, where the new bar is planned, and other advocates plan to voice their concerns at a Jan. 31 hearing before the city's Department of Buildings and Safety Engineering, where the property's owner will apply to use the land for a topless bar.
The 6-acre property on 8 Mile and Mt. Elliott is zoned for industrial use. Under the city's regulations, new topless bars cannot open on land zoned for commercial use, but they can open on land zoned for industrial use.

Al's Diamond Cabaret gets liquor license
Swingers & Sex Passionate Singles
"The days of customers lugging cases of beer into a renowned Reading strip club are about to end.
Al's Diamond Cabaret, 1810 N Fifth St, has received conditional approval for a liquor license from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, agency spokeswoman Dawn R. Petrosky said.
The agency in November approved transferring a restaurant liquor license held by Terrapin Station Inc. at 5 N. Ninth St. to Al's Diamond Cabaret, Petrosky said.
Obtaining a liquor license will allow the bottle club where patrons had been paying an entrance fee and bringing in their own booze to start selling liquor.
Petrosky said the club, which serves food, must pass a final inspection by the PLCB before alcohol can be served."

Former strip club Gobel's in Shepherdsville, KY demolished
Passionate Local Singles Sex Partner Locator
"It took less than an hour yesterday for Bullitt County employees to raze the former home of Gobel's Exotic Entertainment in Shepherdsville.
Workers from the road department began demolishing the building at about 10 am, bringing down the purple-trimmed walls and green roof.
The building, once home to a chain restaurant, had been a strip club for more than a decade and was considered an eyesore by many local residents. Bullitt Fiscal Court voted last week to demolish the vacant building. The county bought it in February for $1 million from owner Gobel Newsome."

Alabama spray on bikinis, still legal
Swingers & Sex Passionate Local Singles
BIRMINGHAM | The strippers at Sammy's have a few tools of the trade: Thongs, garter belts stuffed with $1 bills, 6-inch heels and spray-on bikinis.
Under a settlement between 18 adult nightclubs and the Alabama attorney general's office, dancers statewide are spritzing their buttocks and breasts with flesh-colored latex to comply with the state's anti-nudity law, one of the most restrictive in the nation.
Club operators figured out that a combination of thongs and latex spray -- most commonly used as theatrical makeup -- would meet the law's restrictions if dancers used the rubber to cover themselves in just the right places.
The state, which already was defending against a lawsuit filed by strip clubs challenging the law, says it reluctantly went along with the clubs rather than having a federal judge follow through on his threat to throw out the entire statue as unconstitutional.
With the settlement, prosecutors agreed to dismiss charges against the operator of a Huntsville strip club called Fantasia Gentleman's Club, where dancers earlier this year were accused of illegally dancing in the buff

Interesting take on Masters in Myrtle Beach
SC Swingers & Sex Fetish & BDSM in Myrtle Beach
"Masters is the largest gentleman's club on the Grand Strand, probably one of the largest anywhere with over 33,000 square feet. This sounds great - to those who enjoy that kind of thing of course (uncouth louts!) - but it's a flawed concept. Many of the seats are so far away from the gigantic stage that you feel the need for binoculars.

Bringing the nose bleed seats to strip clubs isn't such a fantastic idea.
Again, maybe it was a long week before Christmas thing, but I'd be wary of the Masters. Though it does have relatively cheap beer ($3.75 Bud Lights).
I was in and out in only one beer though, spending the shortest time ever recorded in a strip club by a man (about 20 minutes). Of course, I was only there because I was looking out for you. That's how seriously I take these travel responsibilities."

More info on the Mustang, TX strip club battle...
Find Local Swingers Looking for a Sex Partner?
Mustang, TX - It's not much to look at: two dusty streets, a strip club, a boarded-up country western bar, one trash bin, and a dilapidated trailer park where the entire population lives.
This 75-acre town, carved from a pasture in 1973 to sell alcohol so a beer run was no longer a 60-mile drive to Dallas, is broke, withering and down to about 50 residents.
Yet even with the place in such dismal shape, two people have been fighting for a year over who effectively owns Mustang: the strip-club operator and the little-known widow of the town's co-founder.
That fight will makes Jan. 17 – when a judge is expected to decide the rightful owner and who will try to fix its financial problems – an important date in its history.
"All I want is to see Mustang on its feet again so we can pay the bills," said Gary Arnett, chief of the town's two-man volunteer fire department. "We have children here. I don't want to see the town have to relocate."
Tax revenue has fallen from about $1,500 a month to just $28 in November, generated only by the strip club. Mustang came close to losing water service this month because of a $3,400 unpaid bill.
The ownership battle is between Thomas Sinclair, who runs the Wispers Cabaret strip club and leases the shuttered Mustang Club bar, and Marsha McKie, whose late husband, William, co-founded the community. Sinclair agreed last year to buy the land from the McKies for $600,000, then filed a lawsuit alleging that they had not fulfilled all the terms of the deal.

Missouri Strip Club Law Struck Down
Victory: Adult Entertainment Industry
Kansas City Swingers Find Bondage Partners in KC
Kansas City - The Missouri Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that a law banning nudity and imposing other restrictions on strip clubs violates the state constitution, according to a recently published report.
The court had already deemed the law unconstitutional in August 2005. The court's decision was based on that fact that the law was tacked onto a bill toughening Missouri's drunken-driving laws, and the state constitution requires legislation to deal with only one subject.
According to the Missouri Supreme Court, the strip club law constitutes "log-rolling," which refers to the practice of gathering several matters in a single bill, in the hope of ensuring their passage.
According to Dan Margolies' report for the Kansas City Star, the ruling last year was a victory for the adult entertainment industry and yet another setback for Missouri Sen. Matt Bartle, the Lee's Summit Republican who sponsored the bill as well as other measures aimed at the adult entertainment industry.
Margolies' report went on to say that the strip-club bill struck down Tuesday banned full nudity; required dancers to stay at least 10 feet from customers and behind a rail; barred dancers from touching customers; and required customers and dancers to be at least 21 years of age.

Water service nearly lost after closure of strip club
Mustang, TX - An unpaid bill nearly caused a supplier to shut off water service to an entire town.
Mustang’s 40 residents had faced the possibility of losing water service Monday if they didn’t find a way to pay a $3,400 bill. Someone made the payment, said Jay Mertz, president of the Angus Water Supply Corp., though he declined to identify the person, the Corsicana Daily Sun reported.
The tiny town, founded in 1972 to provide a home for alcohol sales in Navarro County, had been paying its water bill with sales tax money collected at the only two local businesses - a strip club and a bar.
But both businesses closed last year in the heat of a legal dispute stemming from the sale of the town...

Boston - The Golden Banana may be reopening
Board conditionally reinstates liquor license for strip club
The state's Alcohol Beverages Control Commission says the notorious strip club in Peabody should be granted a new liquor license -- but only if it meets a number of conditions over the next six months.
The Golden Banana has been shut down since 2003. It originally closed because of safety violations that turned up after the deadly nightclub fire in Rhode Island.

Warwick strip club?
Could a strip club be successful in Warwick?
Speculative plans to open a strip club will obviously create a moral dilemma that will divide many people in Warwick.
But society, and its view on sex, has changed to such an extent that I doubt this story will create as much of a storm as it would 20 years ago.

Strip club zone opposed in Seattle
Planners say establishments should be widely allowed
Pressure is mounting for Seattle politicians to finally decide where strip clubs may open -- after 17 years of avoiding the topic.
Such clubs could pop up all over the city if voters in November repeal a ban on lap dances and other rules undermining the profitability of such businesses.
Or the City Council might rely on yet another stopgap measure to stall the issue, a key official said.
